Pothole Patrol is a free UK service through which drivers, cyclists and pedestrians report road defects. Every report carries GPS coordinates, timestamped photographs and the date it was made. Firms subscribe to the evidence layer for the regions they cover. We do not sell cases, we charge nothing per case, we promise no volume, and no firm is offered exclusivity. Your client always chooses their own solicitor.
A dated record of what was reported
Location, photographs, the time of the report and the street reference, held as a structured record rather than a photograph in somebody's inbox.
The notification status of that record
Whether the report was put to the highway authority, the channel used, the date, and any reference returned. We do not describe a report as notified unless it was.
A structured evidence pack
Prepared for the firm's own assessment and bundle preparation. It supports investigation; it does not decide liability.
Earlier reports on the same defect
Where we hold a record of the same defect with an earlier date, the firm can see it. A report that predates your client's incident is a dated record you can assess. This is the part a firm cannot get anywhere else.
Platform status
The platform currently holds 8 verified reports: three in Barking and Dagenham, one in Waltham Forest, four in Essex. The notification and routing layer is being completed, and every record shows its own status.

Coverage is priced by region. Nothing in any tier prevents another firm subscribing lawfully to the same regions.

A citizen reports a defect
A photograph is taken on their phone. GPS coordinates, a timestamp and a street reference are captured at the moment of the report.
The record is created
The report is stored with its notification status shown on it. Where the report has been put to the highway authority, the channel used and any reference returned are recorded.
The member chooses a firm
Where the member asks to be contacted about a claim, they choose the firm themselves. Consent is given to that firm alone. We do not route, allocate or refer claims.
The firm reads the record
Your team receives the evidence pack and decides whether to take the matter. We do not decide liability. We do not guarantee volume. We provide the record.
